Note concerning the European Union
With effect from 9 April 2014, Greenland has been included in the Union system of certification and import and export controls for rough diamonds. From that date on, the territories of the European Union and Greenland have been seen as a single area without internal borders, and therefore as one participant, for the purposes of the Kimberley process.

Note on the Central African Republic
Following the decision by the KP chair of 23 May 2013 to suspend the Central African Republic from further participation in the Kimberly process, the KP participants later decided to re-allow the trade of rough diamonds from selected regions of the Central African Republic with effect from 17 July 2015, provided several conditions are met.
