Customs costs

Charges for the storage of non-Community goods

Except for goods that have been dispatched by mail, non-Community goods are not usually stored at a Customs office. The costs for the storage of mail or courier consignments of up to 20 kilogrammes containing non-Community goods are 0.50 euros per item.

The costs are waived when they amount to less than 5 euros in any individual case.

The costs are calculated exclusive of the day of presentation and the day of receipt of the customs declaration. Neither are the days following receipt of the customs declaration counted if the transfer is delayed for reasons for which the declarant is not responsible.
