Restrictions on the free flow of goods within the EU in accordance with Council Regulation (EC) No 428/2009

There are many goods which due to their technical characteristics or nature can be employed not only by civilians or business for civil uses, but also for a military purpose. Such goods are termed dual-use items.

These include, in particular, items in the fields of sensitive electronics, telecommunications, and IT, as well as data processing software or other technologies (for example, design drawings).

Such items may be subject to restrictions when sent by mail or via the Internet (e-mail, for example) within the European Union.
