Vacation allowance

In accordance with Articles 3 et seq. of the Posted Workers Act (Arbeitnehmer-Entsendegesetz - AEntG), employees may be entitled to a supplementary vacation allowance in addition to their holiday pay.

This supplementary pay is a condition of employment under the collective agreement according to Article 5 (2) AEntG, and is mandatory. The vacation allowance does not count towards the minimum wage requirement.

Where the wage agreement does not include the entitlement to a supplementary vacation allowance, its payment can be counted so as to comply with the minimum wage requirement.
